Aqueous Parts Cleaning Solutions
Jetsons utilizes advanced aqueous parts cleaning solutions that leverage chemistry, heat, water, and agitation to achieve cleanliness levels superior to traditional solvents with a reduced environmental footprint. Our aqueous parts cleaning solutions can incorporate the following:
Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning is a cornerstone of our process, utilizing high-frequency sound waves to create cavitation bubbles that lift contaminants from intricate surfaces. Our ultrasonic systems are specifically designed to dislodge microscopic debris, carbon deposits, and metal shavings from blind holes, internal channels, and threaded features.
We can safely process a wide array of materials, from rugged Inconel and Hastelloy superalloys to delicate aluminum and plastics, ensuring contaminants are removed without compromising the integrity of the substrate.
Applications that can benefit from our ultrasonic cleaning solutions include:
Manual Cleaning
For components with delicate substrates or ultra-complex configurations, Jetsons provides manual cleaning services. This process is essential for high-value parts where human precision is required to meet strict cleanliness standards.
Passivation/Derouging
High-purity stainless steel water systems and processing equipment can develop “rouge”—a layer of iron oxide/hydroxide that can impact system sterility and purity. For most of our cleaning processes, we will also provide passivation/derouging services to help preserve the equipment.
Our passivation and derouging services chemically remove this layer, restoring the surface finish and ensuring compliance with high-purity standards. We help you extend the lifecycle of your capital equipment, including:
- Semiconductor processing chambers
- High-purity water (WFI) distribution systems
- Pharmaceutical mixing vessels
Metal Finishing
Before a part can be coated, welded, or assembled, it should be chemically and physically pristine. Our metal finishing services are designed to remove the byproducts of machining, such as coolants, metal fines, and stamping oils, that can outgas in vacuum environments or cause adhesion failures in coating applications.
Our finishing services include:
